Thank you!
Before I begin we would like to say Thank you to everyone for making our Christmas so wonderful! This time of the year was a little hard for us because we just bought of first house and had a few set backs but thanks to everyone for making it a truly memorable Christmas!
This past weekend was short, I had to work again! Alicia was "scared" to stay home by herself so she spent Friday night at my moms with me. My mom and siblings went to the Phantoms hockey game so we had the house to ourselves. We didnt do too much, watched Whale Wars on animal planet (thats an odd show). Volunteers going to Antarctica to serve papers to Japanese fishermen...at least I got a good laugh from it...(Cathy lol)
Besides working on Saturday we didnt do too much. We organized all the baby clothes we have into bins and straightened the basement. We also went to Home Depot and bought paint and supplies. They had this blue color paint in the Opps! paint section, 1 gallon for $5! Thats where we got the paint for the living room and dinning room, the Opps! section.
On Sunday the weather was unseasonably warm. Almost 60 degrees! Alicia and I redid the bathroom, we spent $100 total and we painted the walls, got a new curtain for the window, got a new shower curtain and an arched dual shower rod. Looks nice. There are a few things I would like to do but that cost more money! I took Christian to the park for a while, he really likes to swing.Christian and I walked around town too. We watched the train go by at the train station by our house and then went to a candy store that was closing. For Christians party we got a Batman pinata and a whole bunch of candy for $10. To top of the day Alicia and I watched Wall-E...dont really get that movie, I need dialogue!

A Great, Relaxing Weekend
It was a great weekend. I didnt have to work and we didnt have any commitments. Saturday morning christian made us breakfast in bed! He woke up around 6 and we werent ready to get up so we opened his door and playroom door and let him play so we can sleep in a little bit longer. He was playing with his kitchen set and after a bit he brought us a dish with play carrots in it! We didnt do much on saturday, just cleaned and played with christian and kc.
We took christian to the Fairgrounds Mall to see Santa but Santa wasnt there until 11 and we got there at 10. In the middle of the mall there were some inflatable gyms for kids and of course christian wanted to play in it....at the end of the mall there was a JC Penny Outlet store. Alicia's grandparents gave us a computer with a printer and a scanner (which we are very appreciative of!) but we didnt have anywhere to put it. Well, at the JC Penny Outlet store they had a black kitchen table that was on sale for $10! Needless to say, we got it.
After christians nap we went to the Berkshire Mall to see their Santa. He was so excited to see him and waited so nicely for 20 minutes and as soon as it was our turn he freaked out. Christian got shy and wouldnt stop squeezing Alicia. So in the picture with Santa, Alicia is sitting next to him while christian lays on her other shoulder...I'll post it tomorrow
On Sunday we woke up and there was snow! There was about 2 inches total and it stopped around lunch time....KC took to the snow and christian wasnt so sure about it. It took a while to finally warm up to it but when he did...there is this metal pole in our backyard, its in the corner but of course christian would find it! I told him not to play with it but of course what 2 year old would listen. Christian touched the pole and what do you know, his glove freezes to the pole! I dont kno wif he thought his hand was stuck but he was freaking out...(its a little blurry but you get the idea!)
And to top of the weekend, Alicia and I watched The Dark Knight...a very great movie

Dedicated to my Job
As most of you know the weather is horrible today, rain, sleet, hail, snow.....the walk way at work is really bad and we salt it every 2 hours or so but its starting to freeze. We dont have a shovel here so i found the only thing i thought would be good...a plastic desk organizer! Thanks for helping out Cathleen. We emailed property managment to see if they can provide one for us...

Koziar's Christmas Village
So this weekend was pretty good. I had to work yet again on saturday. Sucks...I spent friday night at my moms and slept over again. I went out with some friends to applebees's, then went bowling. Alicia and Christian went home. This weekend i dont have to work saturday so we plan on locking the doors and turning off the cell phones and just enjoy the house and not having to be anywhere! Saturday was spent doing mostly nothing. Playing with christian and cleaning/organzing the house.
On Sunday, we decided to walk around Penn Ave in West Reading. Half the shops were closed but the ones that we went to were really nice. This one store was called La Retro Gifts. Its a kids toy store with old fashioned toys, wooden toys and baby clothes. The other store we went to was Sweet Surprise and it was a candy surpirse with other trinkets. It was expensive though. We got a chocolate covered oreo for nearly $2! You could almost buy a book of choco covered oreos for that price...The last store we stopped at was a consignment shop. It had a lot of antiques and unique gifts. Alicia saw this bush type things for sale and got a few of them for the vase on the dinning table. I forget the name of it but its some weird name. To top off our walk we stopped at Haute Chocolate. Its a cafe with a lot of different varieties of hot chocolate. Mostly organic stuff so i wasnt a big fan.
Also on sunday I decided to clean up the backyard. It wasnt really messy but just fixing it up. There is this little patch of grass next to the patio, the grass is surrounded by cement so it looks a little out of place. We cleaned that up because it was all over grown and had this really cheap plastic edging. Right through our backyard is a walk way (everyone has it) but the old owners decided to put a wooden beam next to the path. The beam was a trip hazard for christian so we pulled that up and it was nailed down with 2 foot nails. We moved the storage shed too. The one thing we noticed is that we may need to replace the fence. Not out of wanting to but out of needing to. The fence is really shaky and unstable. There is chicken wire along the fence and KC can easily get out if she was only smarter!
Nana Sue and Christy came over for dinner and a show.....oh, before i forget....while i was making dinner for everyone christian really wanted to help and see what was going on. So i propped him up next to me and he watched as Alicia peeled the carrots and i cut the onions. Well after a few minutes i hear Christian whinning, I look over and there he is, rubbing his eyes and crying. The smell of the onion must have been too much for him. Below is the picture we took...
The reason her mom and Christy came over was to go to Koziar's Christmas Villiage. They are celebrating their 60th year. My mom and dad said that they took my sisters and I there when we were younger. It was a lot of fun, a little crowded but fun. There were so many displays and lights. Christian really enjoyed himself. He was ooohhh and aaaahhh (ing) at everything. They had an outdoor train display and and indoor one too. They had Sesame Street characters and Peanut Characters. Christians favorite display was the Christmas under the Sea display. It was a little room you look in and it's suppose to be underwater. They had a blacklight on with all the different colors and animals. He enjoyed that one the most. Maybe Alicia and I will make it a tradition every year. Its only 15 minutes from our house.
Now monday is almost over for me, Thank God! Its not a good day....I cant wait for Christmas Eve!

Potty Training, it begins
For the past three days we've been taking a proactive role in potty training. He shows all the signs of readiness. He can pull his pants up and down, he knows when he pee's (and he doesnt like it!) and he knows where the potty is. While we have been unsuccessful getting anything in the toilet, we still try. We take him to the potty every 20 minutes when we get home from work until its his bed time. I'll show him how to go potty and he'll sit there with me. Its funny because he'll sit there with a book or rest his arm on the tub and drum his fingers....I'm starting to think he likes sitting at his toilet just so he can be naked!

Its only been a week....
Its only been a week since we moved in. It feels like a lot longer. It may be because of the hour plus drive to work and the hour plus drive home...gosh the drive is getting old! So this weekend alicia and I spent most of saturday cleaning the downstairs and entertaining christian. I brought the camera to work today to upload pictures of the house but forgot the cord....so hopefully tomorrow. We got the kitchen cleaned up and everything put away. I went to home depot and bought new drill bits so i could finish the dinning room chairs, so now they are all done. Lastly, we got our living room all cleared up and we splurged a little....we got two bookcases to display our pictures and photo albums. it was only $30 for the two and it looks nice (again, i dont have a picture yet!).
On Sunday we drove around to see what else was around Wernersville. If you go west there isnt much at all, just a few small towns and by small i mean no grocery stores, no schools, no blockbusters....they are nice little towns, Robesonia, Womelsdorf, and Bernville. Each town has the "hollywood" main street with all the quaint stores and local restaurant. There is a lot of farms out that way and oddly, there seem to be more car dealerships then houses. We passed Clover Farms which produces some of the best chocolate milk in the area! We passed Clover Hills Winery and Murdo's Christmas Barn. We found a lot of 24 hour laundry mats too. A block from out house is this shop called Fine and Devine ( i think) that displays local artist works and most of it you can buy. It has paintings, furniture, jewelery, clothing and little odds and ends. so really interesting things, a little bit pricey for local art but....
Sunday night we watched No Country for Old Men, thanks dad for the heads up on this movie, it was a very different movie. I liked it, alicia well not so much. She said it had no real plot but it seemed pretty obvious and simple to me, guy steals money, other guy tracks him down to get it back....like you said dad, some sences are pretty violent.
Anyway, its time to get back to work. We are short handed today. Its slow but still.... I need to remind myself to bring the camera cord to upload the pictures.
later!

Post Thanksgiving
Back to work...seems like i'm the only one! All the customers come in and brag how they have off today. Oh well, gotta make money some how....
So Thanksgiving was suppose to be at our house but settlement kept getting pushed back so my mother stepped up and got everything together on such short notice. The food she cooked was so good, she tried a few new recipes that were great. First we went to alicia's family. Dinner was at 1 and we got there at 12:45 and we were the second people there. It was nice to see all of her family. We didnt stay too long, long enough to say hi and catch up with people. Then we went to my moms and shortly after dinner we went to my uncles house. He just got married about two weeks ago in Hawaii. They had dessert ready for us...
Should probably get back to work, its really busy today!
